East Kings County Alumnae Chapter (EKC) will be hosting a Community Candidates Forum for the 43rd District on September 7, 2017 in partnership with NYC Votes, which is a campaign of the NYC Campaign Finance Board. The 43rd District includes Bay Ridge, Dyker Heights, Bensonhurst, Bath Beach. EKC is also partnering with community organizations to host a Community Candidates Forum in the 41st District on August 30, 2017 and September 6, 2017. The 41st District includes Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brownsville, Bushwick, Crown Heights, East Flatbush and Prospect Lefferts Gardens.
These forums will provide residents of the 43rd and 41st Districts an opportunity to hear from candidates running for City Council about their plans for addressing community needs and concerns. The forum will be a moderated panel followed by a question and answer session. In addition, the forum is non-partisan and every candidate running for the City Council seat in those Districts will be invited to participate.
