Join East Kings County Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. for the She Leads: Women Running For Elected Office event. The event will be held on Saturday, October 20, 2018 from 1pm-3pm at Brooklyn Borough Hall, 209 Joralemon St, Brooklyn, NY 11201. “She Leads” will feature panelists with experience running for various elected offices, as well as political strategists. This non-partisan event will be an opportunity for community members to learn tools and strategies to prepare for running for elected office. Panelists will discuss how to best navigate the obstacles many women, and particularly, women of color, face when running. Attendees will also learn how to assist in increasing the number of women running for office.The panel will be followed by a question and answer session. #ekcdst #socialaction
